About Decode Dreams

Why this dictionary exists, and how it is built.

Why we built this

Most sites that cover Islamic dream interpretation either copy each other word for word, or charge money for a quick answer. Neither helps someone who just woke up from a strange dream and wants to understand it properly. Decode Dreams exists to give a straight, sourced answer for free — without guessing and without a paywall.

Where the meanings come from

Every dream meaning on this site is built from classical Islamic sources: the Qur'an, hadith, and the written work of recognized interpreters such as Ibn Sirin and Al-Nabulsi. We don't invent meanings, and we don't let an AI model generate an interpretation from scratch. Where a symbol genuinely isn't covered in classical sources, we say so instead of filling the gap with a guess.

Each page covers one symbol. We'd rather have a short, accurate page than a long one padded with unrelated content.

What this site is not

This is not a prediction service, and a dream meaning here is not a fatwa. Islamic scholars themselves disagree on some symbols, and the same symbol can carry a different meaning depending on the dreamer's situation. Use these pages as a starting point for reflection, not as certainty about the future.

If a dream is seriously affecting your sleep, mood, or daily life, that's worth raising with a doctor — this site is not a substitute for medical or mental health care.
